■Membership

■ Annual membership fee for regular members
(including overseas regular members or regular members temporarily staying overseas)
Membership Fee：8,800 yen (10,500yen)

Those who have an interest in plastic working/processing and wish to increase their knowledge and awareness of technologies are welcome to enroll as a regular member.
Students who are in the second stage of a doctoral program at a graduate school are considered to be regular members.

(Privileges)
1.Receipt of the monthly Journal of JSTP.(JSTP members are entitled to the following: )
2.Submission of manuscripts to the Journal of JSTP, and presentation of papers at our Spring and Joint Conferences.
3.Participation in various events hosted by JSTP (headquarters, branches, research committees, etc.), at a membership discount.
4.Purchase of JSTP publications at a membership discount.
5.Participation in various events jointly hosted by JSTP, as a qualified member.
6.Eligibility for JSTP awards (e.g., JSTP Best Paper Award,JSTP Medal,JSTP Medal for Scientific/Technological Achievement,JSTP Medal for Innovative Technology,JSTP Distinguished Contribution Award,JSTP Young Researchers Award,JSTP Education Award,JSTP Skilled Experts Award) for outstanding research achievements and exceptional papers published in the Journal of JSTP.

■ Annual membership fee for student members
(including overseas student members and student members temporarily staying overseas)
Membership Fee：4,200 yen (5,900 yen)

Students attending school, including in the first stage of a doctoral program (master’s course) at a graduate school, undergraduate school, college, technological college, etc. and schools conforming to the above, are welcome to enroll as a student member.

(Privileges)
1.Student members receive the same privileges as those for regular members except no.6.
2.In addition, the JSTP Students Award is awarded to deserving student members.

■ Supporting member
Membership fee: 100,000 yen per support unit
Corporations supporting the objectives of JSTP activities

For your convenience, the annual membership fee can be split into two payments, to be remitted in the first and second term of the year.

(Privileges)
1.Receipt of the monthly Journal of JSTP.(JSTP members are entitled to the following: )
2.More than 1 person can be offered membership discount to participate in the events organized by JSTP, 9 branches and committees etc.
3.Given the invitation ticket of the JSTP Spring Meeting (1 person only) and delivered a proceedings free of charge.
4.Given the invitation ticket of the JSTP Fall Meeting (1 person only) and delivered a proceedings free of charge.
5.To run an article about your company at the page of “Column for Supporting Members” for free (only related to processing ).
6.Purchase of JSTP publications at a membership discount.
7.You are also entitled to receive consultation through the JSTP technical consultation desk. You will be introduced to university research staff as well as JSTP experts.
8.You are entitled to present your company’s new products and technologies on the JSTP website or at the exhibition booth during conferences.
9.JSTP awards are presented to supporting members who deliver outstanding technological achievements.

■ Membership Enrollment Procedure

For those who wish to enroll in JSTP, please download the application form after reading the “Article of Incorporation; Chapter 3 Members(in Japanese)” and the “Privacy Policies of JSTP(in Japanese)”.
Mail or fax (+81-3-5733-3730) the completed membership application form to JSTP Headquarters.

After receipt of the membership application form, documents relative to enrollment (membership ID, invoice, etc.) will be sent to the applicant. After confirming the data, please remit your annual fee by the due date. Note that approximately 10 days will be required before mailing the membership enrollment documents.

* Requests for JSTP brochures (for membership application) should be made to JSTP Headquarters.
Those joining in the middle of the fiscal year will receive the back issues of the Journal of JSTP included in the annual fee. However, if you are accepted as a regular member or supporting member after October 1st, you will not be entitled to receive the back issues for April through September, as the annual fee is reduced to half.

* The cost for mailing the journal, 1,700 yen (by sea mail), is included in the membership fee for overseas members.

■Payment of membership fee

Members living in Japan

1. By automatic transfer
　This method is only available to the members have a bank account in Japan.
　Please refer to “Request for automatic bank transfer service” for your application in the next section.

2. By bank transfer
　Please remit to the stated account in the invoice by the member’s name.
　Any bank charges would be borne by the remitter.

3. By postal transfer (JP Bank) or convenience store payment
　Use the enclosed transfer form, which bears no handling charge.
　* Any handling charges must be paid by the remitter in which case you use a payment slip at the post office.

All procedures are available only in Japan.

For overseas members

1. Automatic bank transfer service (For your application, please refer to “Request for automatic bank transfer service”.)
This service is applicable only to members who have their own bank account in Japan.

2. Credit cards
Fill out the necessary information on the designated form enclosed with the invoice, and send it to JSTP Headquarters by fax.
VISA, Master Card, and American Express can be used for your payment.
To ensure security, please do not email the form.

3. Bank transfer
Transfer the necessary amount to the designated bank account as shown on the invoice. Handling charges that may accrue at banks in both countries during the money transfer shall be borne by the sender. Therefore, please confirm the procedure at the bank in your country and request the money transfer indicating “handling charges shall be borne by the sender”.
*Checks are not accepted.

■ Request for automatic bank transfer service

This service is applicable only to members who have their own bank account in Japan.
JSTP introduced an “automatic bank transfer system” for all members. Members are requested to use this system for payment of the annual membership fee as a general rule. Those members who have not yet used this system are invited to register in the system.
JSTP bears the handling charges that accrue from automatic withdrawal. This saves time for the members and also contributes to the smooth and fast processing of money transfers at JSTP. Your full cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Method of application: Automatic bank transfer service can be applied by downloading the forms for “Request for Bank Transfer and Application for Automatic Payment”, filling in the necessary items with a stamp, and mailing it to JSTP Headquarters.
“Notification of withdrawal” will be mailed to you later.
